Im really interesting in technology and hand craft items so i would like to create something that is make by hands and combine it with technology.

What is the Kinect Sensor?

„ Is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console and Windows PCs. Kinect could measure depth by sending out thousands of small infrared dots to create a 3-D map of the room, and its microphones to pinpoint sound in space. It enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through gestures and spoken commands

How Kinect uses in education

So what is Avatar Kinect and how it helps us connect?

Is an Xbox 360 chatroom-type service that will allow you and your friends to talk to each other using your Xbox 360 avatars. Basically, Kinect will be able to track your facial features and your avatar will mimic whatever you do. When you smile, your avatar smiles. When you jump and shake a leg, your avatar jumps and shakes a leg. It is all in the name of making the Xbox 360 avatars react and act more realistic and naturally.

The Kinet has open opportunity for many artists. The Kinect sensor seems to be the hot hackable item in the interactive art world. Artist hack the Kinect to uses for their art. Also, It has been hacked by interactive artists to control robots, scan environments, create sound instruments and much, much more.

Kinect Graffiti is a tool built in processing & openGL, SimpleOpenNI, openNI and primeSense libraries.

Topic: The Kinect in Gaming and Art Kinect -Is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console and Windows PCs. Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands.

Statement for Assignment 4

For assignment 4 San Jose in 20 years. There will be more apple products like electric/solar-power cars, more and more people will start using apple devices. Apple as a company has grown into the largest company in the world. I really like their products because of the simplicity and well design. My ideas is that apple is getting more popular over the years and so in 20 years there will be more apple products on the street and devices for people to use.

How San Jose will look like in 20 years later?

For assignment 3 I'm planning to use technology like apple products, hybrid car and people to apply on how San Jose will look in 20 years. I will have apple logos on every building and have people on the street using apple products since now apple are becoming so popular all over the world.

So, for my animation Gif I want to show that the world we live in are running by technology to help us communicate and connect to each other faster and easier way. But in very case, technology is a tool that joins us together so that we can share ideas, converse and grow so we can make the world a better place. I have gathering images like transportations, smart phones, social networks, people and places all over world. All this images showing how technology lets people communicate and connect instantly no matter how far apart we are.

How would you define the role of Digital Media in society?

Digital Media plays a significant role in our society because everything we do and use is depending on it. We use it for schools, works or even to communicate with families and friends from the same area or far away. Since now every technologies are so easy to use and fast we can have more time to work on other things like school and work on the same laptop

What is the most valuable piece of digital technology you own?

The most valuable piece of technology I own has to be my iPhone. I use it everyday to communicate with family and friends. I’m not so good with directions so my iPhone is a great tool with a click of a button for me to get to one location to another. I also use it to search up the web and check my emails instantly without connect to anything or Wifi to use it. 


What is your greatest frustration with living in a digital world? 

Technology can be very useful but once something goes wrong, it can be very frustrating some times. My greatest frustration with digital media is when it crashes and there is no signal on my iPhone when I try to get to places or search up something I need.
