the Kinect Sensor?
Is a
motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console
and Windows PCs. Kinect could measure depth by sending out thousands of small
infrared dots to create a 3-D map of the room, and its microphones to pinpoint
sound in space. It enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360
without the need to touch a game controller, through gestures and spoken
commands

are using more Kinect systems as part of the pilot program to help kids
learn and retain the knowledge and skills they need in life. Tool like Kinect
teachers are able to engaging students to learn with more effectively
and more fun in the classroom.
So what is Avatar Kinect and how it helps us connect?
Is an
Xbox 360 chatroom-type service that will allow you and your friends to talk to
each other using your Xbox 360 avatars. Basically, Kinect will be able to
track your facial features and your avatar will mimic whatever you do. When you
smile, your avatar smiles. When you jump and shake a leg, your avatar jumps and
shakes a leg. It is all in the name of making the Xbox 360 avatars react and
act more realistic and naturally.

Kinect sensor seems to be the hot hackable item in the interactive art world. Artist

artists to control robots, scan environments, create sound instruments and
